Prof. Dr. Chandra Mani Paudel, President of Bagmati University, held a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Shmulik Arie Bass, Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, to exchange views on potential areas of collaboration in higher education, technology, research, and innovation.
During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues for strengthening academic and institutional cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, and Agricultural Technology. The discussions also explored opportunities to foster academic partnerships, promote collaborative research, facilitate knowledge and technology exchange, encourage innovation, and develop faculty and student exchange programs.
The meeting further highlighted the potential role of emerging technologies in enhancing the quality and relevance of higher education, advancing sustainable agricultural practices, and contributing to Nepal’s broader innovation ecosystem. Both sides expressed their shared interest in exploring meaningful and mutually beneficial avenues of cooperation that could create new opportunities for students, faculty members, researchers, and the wider academic and professional community.
The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration in promoting knowledge exchange, capacity building, technological advancement, and stronger institutional linkages between Nepal and Israel.
